A Deliberate Life

“Our Salvation is in striving to achieve what we know we’ll never achieve.” – Ryszard Kapuscinski

Sometimes we get stuck and need a push, or go into a funk and need to reset, as runners, cyclists, writers… as human beings. An important lesson for a runner is to understand there is more to life than plodding one foot in front of the other. Living an active, healthy, sustainable and socially conscious lifestyle will improve your chances of running longevity, and longevity in general. DeliberateLIFE Magazine is a new magazine that advocates such a lifestyle

Logo - Deliberate LifeDeliberateLIFE Magazine seeks to inspire people to live well by making intentional choices about how they spend their time, engage in their communities, and understand global issues. Face it, exercise is only one dimension of staying fit. A broader approach to holistic fitness, or fitness of the entire self, is to eat healthy, engage in leisure activities, travel, and adopt sustainable practices such as organic gardening and lifelong learning.

DeliberateLIFE just released their fourth issue, a Back-to-School special. This issue includes articles about how to get back lost creativity, the changing landscape of education, continued learning through work and play, girl’s education globally, and learning while traveling. Past issues included topics such as yard-to-table backyard gardening, harvesting schedules, herbs, healthy recipes, exotic travel, engaging community by opening streets to runners, cyclists, and pedestrians, energy conservation, and summer camps that participate in community service such as Hands on Housing (HoH). DeliberateLIFE is for people who believe their lives matter and are seeking a thoughtful, informative magazine that reflects their values.

DeliberateLIFE is off to a strong and competent start building a wide audience of followers by sharing information and ideas on how to live a healthy and active lifestyle. Founder and editor, Fay Johnson, is enthusiastic and committed to living deliberately, literally and figurative.

  1. Great find. I love a good manifesto, particularly the phrase – we live like we mean it. Something to remind myself first thing in the morning.
