Makeshift memorial after terrorist attack in Brussels – Source: The Guardian

My deepest sympathies and prayers for the children who were in those blood-stained strollers scattered across the airport terminal floor in Brussels this morning, as well as for all of the innocents traveling to work, to visit friends and relatives, or to deliver aid to those less fortunate. Humanity shares in your grief.

The sun will rise tomorrow in Brussels.

Right There

And there you are, right there,

real as that smile, real as death,

cold, touchable, present though invisible,

cold-hearted and so indisputably there.

The world is terrifying, so many awful events, in so many different countries.

Sometimes these events sidetrack us from believing that good triumphs over evil, and then we see the resilience and courage and goodness in people and our faith in humanity is restored. Thanks for writing, LB.

  2. Brittany says:

    Such a horrifying tragedy.
